She loves all forms of art, good food, theatre, and music. René does not like technology, breaking a sweat, or writing author bios (which makes her sweat). She remains committed to her wife and in service of their beautiful cat.

I did quite a bit of research on therapeutical methods and PTSD, which was needed to bring Doctor Adrian Ramsey to life. I like comical characters and inevitably I always have a foul-mouthed, eccentric cast member that sneaks in somewhere. In Strong Force they come in the shape of Audrey, Shae’s mother, and Fiona, Shae’s best friend.
It’s all about making mistakes, making amends and making all of it count. The Strong Force family is witty, obnoxious and dysfunctional. I have no doubt that they will climb into your heart much like the cast of Shameless climbed into mine.”

The Lesbian Review Strong Force by René Roberts illustrates both the messiest and most beautiful parts of the human experience. It’s about experiences, growing, and learning. It’s about making mistakes and trying to be better. It’s deep and dark, but at its core, light. It takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery, courage, compassion, and growth with two incredible main characters and dynamic supporting characters. It’s witty, raw, and emotional and one of the best books I’ve read all year.

Way more deserving of 5 stars than others

I’m shocked by the force of this book. The characters are so well developed, the writing so descriptive that I felt immersed in the book. I’ve read dozens upon dozens of lesbian romance/ other genres and can’t believe this book isn’t rated 5 stars. Despite the root of ethics at the core of the premise, you discover it to be true that Adrian and Shae deserve the love they each have to offer. Can’t recommend this book enough if you’re looking for an intense, wildly romantic with a few shocking revelations along the way
